The Huffstutter Family Stylist Scholarship
OSAC applications are available online beginning in November and are accepted through March 1 for the approaching academic year.
Who can apply?
Any resident of Washington or Oregon attending a cosmetology school in Oregon. Awards are based on financial need and community involvement.
What is the average amount awarded?
About $3,500.
When are recipients chosen?
Recipients are chosen in June.
What beauty school can I attend?
Scholarship recipients can choose any Oregon school offering degrees or certificates in cosmetology or hair design.
How are awards paid?
Scholarship awards are paid directly to the educational institution once the student's enrollment has been verified. Generally, awards are paid term by term or semester by semester.
Requirements
Residence (state): Oregon or Washington
Major: Cosmetology, beauty, barbering, hairdresser
Colleges: Oregon schools offering degrees or certificates in cosmetology or hair design
FAFSA: Required - based on financial and community involvement are the main criterias assessed.
Apply-compete annually
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
Fill out worksheet, no essay necessary
